We guide you to a land on the Southern coast of Balaton where the visitor, arriving to the Pogány-valley, is awaited by the greens of the combs, the villages surrounded by vineyards and orchards, the dewy mornings and the friendship of the people living here. Its villages, which take account of each other’s touristic offers, thereby considering the needs of the other villages and guests, create the second line of the Southern coast of the “Hungarian Sea” (the Balaton). Peaking into the history of Hungarian people, here we can find Somogyvár, the one-time seat of Somogy county, and next to it Somogyvámos with its Puszta-torony (“Barren-tower”). On the other lobe, we can find Pamuk, Öreglak and Buzsák, which latter is famous of its folk art and the maintaining of its traditions. Under the forests, smaller villages: Gyugy, Hács, Kisberény, and along to road to the Balaton Szőlősgyörök closes the row (or opens, if the traveller comes from the direction of the lake), where programs, hotels and all kinds of service providers, offering higher and higher standards, await the visitors.
